Dr. Daryl Eckland (known as “Daryl” to his patients) is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Dentistry. He believes in practicing preventive dentistry, an approach to provide quality dentistry while enabling our patients to enjoy and maintain healthy gums and teeth. Daryl is skillful and gentle while keeping the patient’s comfort in mind at all times. He is very personable, takes time to listen to each patient’s needs and/or concerns, and has a wonderful way of making them feel comfortable. His calm and soothing approach can make even the most fearful patient feel at ease. His patients appreciate the fact that he always takes time to explain, in words they can understand, his findings and what options of dental care and treatment are available to them. Dr. Eckland is very knowledgeable in his field and continues to keep his education up to date by reading current dental journals and through discussions with other dental professionals. He is also a member of the Alpine Study Club which regularly meets once a month with guest speakers to discuss the latest dental procedures, techniques and other dental patient related matters. Memberships include The American Dental Association and The Seattle-King County Dental Association.
 
On a personal note: Daryl grew up in Seattle and graduated from Ingraham High School, Shoreline Community College, and the University of Washington before entering the University of Washington Dental School. He and his wife, Stacie, have been married since 1973 and have three sons. Their first, Keagan, is graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 2007.  He now is working in the office with Daryl. Their second, Colby, is currently a member of the University of Washington Dental School Class of 2009. And their third, Kale, is currently a member of the University of Michigan Dental School Class of 2010. Daryl’s interests include traveling, cars (he still owns his very first car….a 1959 Red Austin Healey!), wine collecting, skiing, baseball, pickleball, and friends and family time, including cooking with Stacie.

Dr. Keagan A. Eckland is a 2007 graduate of the University Of Washington School Of Dentistry. He is excited to be working with his father and to carry on the same high standard approach to quality dental care for our patients. He shares his father’s belief in practicing knowledgeable preventive dentistry with a skillful and gentle touch. His great smile and easy-going nature immediately calm the nerves of the anxious patient. Keagan keeps his dental education current by reading dental journals, attending seminars and monthly participation in a dental study club.

On a personal note: Keagan grew up locally and attended Inglemore High School and Western Washington University before entering the University of Washington School of Dentistry. He enjoys traveling and all sports activities, with skiing and baseball being his favorites. He also has fun coaching Little League baseball. It was a great honor for him and his fellow coaches to successfully instruct and encourage a team of 9 and 10 year olds to go from losing at the beginning of the first season to winning the League Championship at the second season.
